An Inspiring Project for the Future by Bonna and Özyeğin University!
Premium brand Bonna Porselen adds another contribution to gastronomy by collaborating with Özyeğin University on a project that highlights the creativity and talents of young individuals. The project aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, transforming the themes suggested by gastronomy students into a new dining experience through products designed by industrial design students. This initiative, which bridges the worlds of industrial design and gastronomy, combines the expertise of both fields to offer an innovative restaurant experience to the industry.
Bonna Porselen and Özyeğin University are joining forces on a project that will turn the boundless dreams of young people into porcelain creations. In this collaborative effort, students from Özyeğin University's Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Industrial Design Department will lead an interdisciplinary study. The menu and theme proposals developed by gastronomy students will be transformed into new porcelain tableware collections designed by industrial design students.
Creating with the synergy of design and gastronomy students in collaboration with the company
Focusing on how porcelain can be utilized, the project aims to create unique dining experiences that consider usability, aesthetics, and product interaction. While developing concepts that align with the proposed menus, students will create collections consisting of at least three pieces. These porcelain designs will be evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, sensory appeal, alignment with current trends, and user experience, further strengthening the connection between the fields of industrial design and gastronomy.
Expressing the joy of not only being a brand serving the porcelain sector but also supporting gastronomy and inspiring young people through this project, Bonna General Manager Erbil Aşkan shared:
"As Bonna, we always value the creativity and talents of young people and support them at every opportunity. For this reason, we frequently collaborate with universities, participating in various initiatives that contribute to their future in the industry.
